What does it mean to care for materials in architecture? Through a selection of projects and stories, this lecture explores material reuse as a practice of care, extending beyond resource efficiency to questions of value, transformation, and responsibility. Moving between concrete examples and the processes that make reuse possible, it reflects on the challenges, negotiations, and relationships involved in working with what already exists, and on how these practices might reshape the way we design and build.
